The moments during and after the birth of a newborn are emotionally charged and exciting. Long gone are the mug-shot-looking pictures of the past. Parents today can expect that the beauty and innocence of their newborn to be captured on camera.

Capturing beautiful and artistic moments of newborns is one of my passions. My favorite part of newborn photo-shoots is being able to document and witness the unconditional love of parents towards their newborn. It is a blessing and I always feel honored to be part of it!

Newborn photography is a unique moment to capture there is only a limited window of opportunity to record the images of such precious moments. Babies grow so quickly and so it is important to grab those ‘newborn’ photographs as quickly as possible.

I usually recommend for parents to have their newborn baby photographed at around one week of age in order to capture that fresh newborn look. When babies are only a few days old, they sleep constantly and do not move a lot. This makes the babies easier to manoeuvre into the poses that will tug at your heart strings.
